Does birth time change a BaZi reading?

Birth time can change the hour pillar in a Four Pillars chart. That does
not make the rest of the chart useless, but it does affect the full reading.

What birth time controls

The hour pillar is based on the time of birth. It adds another stem and
branch to the chart, so it can change the element balance and some details
in the interpretation.

If you only know an estimate

Use the closest time you know, then treat the result as a draft. If the
estimate falls near the edge of a two hour period, a small difference may
move the chart into another hour pillar.

If you do not know your birth time

You can still calculate the year, month, and day pillars. The Day Master
remains available because it comes from the day pillar, not the hour pillar.
