What is a BaZi Day Master?

Your Day Master is the heavenly stem of the day you were born. In many
BaZi readings, it is the first reference point for understanding the rest
of the chart.

Where the Day Master appears

A Four Pillars chart has four pillars: year, month, day, and hour. Each
pillar has a heavenly stem and an earthly branch. The Day Master comes
from the heavenly stem of the day pillar.

Why people start there

The Day Master gives the reading an anchor. The other parts of the chart
are often read in relation to it: which elements support it, which elements
challenge it, and which parts of the chart feel active or quiet.

What it can and cannot tell you

A Day Master alone is not a full reading. Two people can share the same
Day Master and still have very different charts. Use it as a starting
point, then look at the month, branches, hidden stems, and timing cycles.
