Ten Gods in BaZi, explained simply

The Ten Gods describe how each stem in a BaZi chart relates to the Day
Master. They are relationship labels, not literal deities.

What the Ten Gods are for

Once you know the Day Master, every other heavenly stem can be compared
with it. That comparison creates a Ten Gods label. Readers use those labels
to discuss themes such as resources, output, wealth, influence, and peers.

Why the names can sound confusing

Some translations sound dramatic, especially terms like “Direct Wealth”
or “Seven Killings.” In practice, the terms point to chart relationships.
They need context from the full chart before they mean anything useful.

How to read them as a beginner

Do not memorize every label first. Start by finding your Day Master, then
notice which elements support it, which elements express it, and which
elements place pressure on it. The Ten Gods become easier after that.

BaziCalc starts with the Day Master and element balance. That gives the
Ten Gods a cleaner foundation.
