What are BaZi luck pillars?

Luck pillars are timing cycles used in BaZi. They are usually read after
the birth chart, because timing only makes sense in relation to the original chart.

The birth chart comes first

Your Four Pillars chart describes the structure set by your birth details.
Luck pillars add a moving layer. A reader compares the timing cycle with
the birth chart to discuss changing themes.

Decade luck and annual luck

Many BaZi systems look at ten year luck pillars, then compare them with
annual influences. That does not mean every year has a fixed outcome. It
means the chart is being read through changing element relationships.

How to use timing carefully

Timing language can be tempting to overread. Treat luck pillars as prompts
for reflection, planning, and pattern recognition. Do not use them as a
substitute for legal, medical, or financial advice.
